Apple Cider Ice Cream
Makes 1/2 gallon
- 1 pint heavy cream
- 1 pint light cream
- 6 cups apple cider
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 sticks cinnamon
- 2 dashes of salt
- In a large pot, whisk the cider and sugar together.
- Add the cinnamon sticks.
- Bring the cider to a boil.
- Reduce to a sticky/caramel texture, about 1 hour.
- Combine with the rest of the ingredients and mix thoroughly.
- Chill before freezing, as needed.
- Freeze using an ice cream maker.
