Baked Mozzarella Sticks
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese
- 3 Tbs flour
- 2 eggs
- water
- 1 cup dry bread crumbs
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 4 tsp butter, melted
- Cut mozzarella cheese into 1/2 x 1/2 x 3-inch sticks.
- Toss mozarella with flour and set aside.
- In a small bowl beat together eggs and water, set aside.
- In a separate bowl, combine bread crumbs, Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
- Dip cheese sticks in the egg mixture, then coat with bread crumbs.
- Repeat the egg and bread crumb coatings.
- Place on a plate in a single layer, cover with aluminum foil, and chill until very cold, 2 to 3 hours.
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- When hot, place cheese sticks on an aluminum foil-lined baking sheet, drizzle with melted butter.
- Bake until crisp, 8 to 10 minutes.
