Chocolate Ice Cream
Makes 1/2 gallon
- 1 pint light cream
- 1 pint heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 oz unsweetened chocolate
- 4 tsp vanilla
- pinch of salt
- Melt chocolate in a double boiler.
- When melted, slowly whisk in the milk, but do not allow milk to boil.
- Whisk chocolate mixture with the other ingredients and chill for about 2 hours.
- Freeze using an ice cream maker.
